“What shall we say to these things?...”

“What shall we say to these things?...”

There is a groaning by which human words cannot utter of the grief and sorrow that comes with such deep pain over the tragedy in our city. Yet our sorrow is mingled with hope in knowing that only God can sovereignly work all these things together for our good and for His glory. (Romans 8:28)

As Centerpoint Church grieves with the Emanuel AME Church family and all churches throughout the greater Charleston area, we respond to the rhetorical question by the Apostle Paul with his rhetorical answer: “If God be for us, who can be against us?” (Romans 8:31) We pray for healing for the nine families that are in deep grief and we stand with them and say, “For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 8:38-39)

Centerpoint Church takes her place alongside the churches of greater Charleston as we pray and grieve together.
