Summer Link 2020

Summer Link 2020
Each year Citadel Square hosts several college students for a summer discipleship program called Summer Link. Due to COVID-19, this year was a little different, but we had eight students participate with an abbreviated schedule over the last few weeks
Led by our Generation Link Residents, this group spent the last month studying Colossians, praying together, learning Bible study methods, and practicing how to share the gospel. They were able to put their faith in action, doing outreach in the East Side, giving blessing bags to the homeless, and prayer walking in the city. They also spent a few days in Charlotte with some other Summer Link teams, helping a partner church plant - King’s Church - to serve their community by assisting with a local food drive, prayer walking, and sharing the gospel.
Though their time was shorter than usual, this year’s Summer Link was a great experience for everyone involved and a blessing to our church and community. As the team closes out their time this week, they will celebrate in an exciting way: four of them will be baptized this Sunday! Watch the video above to hear their testimonies of how they came to faith and why they decided to be baptized. And look out for the link to watch the baptisms Sunday night via Facebook Live. We are very excited to celebrate with each of them Sunday!
